As they continue to expand and develop our offering and client base, they are seeking an experienced accountant to join their accounting team to support them in continually delivering and exceeding their excellent service levels.
About the Role
We are looking for a qualified or experienced Accountant to join our client’s vibrant
team within a well-established service provider to regulated companies on
the island. You will be involved in overseeing a portfolio of licensed and
unlicensed entities within the Gaming, IP & digital technologies industries
across a range of jurisdictions including the Isle of Man, UK, Malta, Alderney
& Jersey.
You will have the opportunity to:
● Maintain financial ledgers from source documents provided by the client or client manager
● Compile statutory financial statements for a variety of entity types across multiple jurisdictions
● Liaise with auditors and managing the audit process
● Prepare monthly gambling duty returns, quarterly regulatory return submissions, and assist with the review of VAT returns for your portfolio of clients
● Assist with the preparation of cash flow projections and solvency checks
● Prepare management accounts for quarterly board meetings and present to the board
● Assist in the licensing application processes for new gaming operators
● Analyse accounting problems, organise assigned work and assist with the development of effective working methods
● Provide support to accounting team colleagues
● Raise and resolve queries with clients and client managers
● Attend client meetings as and when required
● Liaise with colleagues in other departments and jurisdictions
About You
You will be a Chartered or Certified Accountant or have at least three years
relevant accounting experience in a corporate service provider or similar
environment.
You will have strong knowledge of principles, methods and procedures used
in modern accounting and the ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified
(or equivalent) with experience of preparing client accounts. A knowledge
and awareness of the e-gaming landscape would be advantageous, though
not essential for the role. As you will use various accounting packages and software, strong computer literacy is essential.

● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
● Experience of working on NavOne, Xero cloud accounting package, CCH accounting software and Jobstream would be an advantage
● Ability to work on own initiative and manage workloads in accordance with timelines
● Amenable to working at bookkeeping level due to transactional and complex nature of gambling structures
● A flexible approach to workflow management and adaptable to change
● The ability to demonstrate continued professional development
