Manager, Fractional CFO Practice

This role will manage Fractional CFO engagements for multiple clients, and will manage associates on the engagements.  The position will report to a Partner or Principal.  The Fractional CFO Practice is rapidly growing, and this individual will be a key player within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple retainer-based and/or project engagements with middle market clients
  • Manage the work of associates within the Practice, and mentor/train/develop the associates through the client engagements
  • Develop and/or customize proposals and engagement letters
  • Manage day-to-day correspondence with client contacts
  • Manage hours spent on engagements to ensure that billed time is within budget
  • Closely manage client work through road maps and frequent check-ins w/ client on status/priorities
  • Execute a wide array of financial planning and analysis functions, and support Partners and Principals in CFO-level work
    • Accounting/Finance organization assessments
    • Forecast and budget process development, enhancement, and/or execution
    • KPI development, enhancement, and/or execution
    • Process assessments and best practice implementation
    • Long-term and short-term financial modeling
    • Executive reporting development, enhancement, and execution
    • Development of cash flow forecasting tools
    • Performing due diligence and related work for clients involved in buy side or sell side transactions
    • Ad-hoc project deliverables as requested by client

Key Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or Masters preferred but not required
  • 4+ years of experience within Accounting, Finance, or Audit
  • 2+ years of management or supervisory experience
  • Solid understanding of Accounting principles
  • Candidates must possess excellent engagement management skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, displaying ability to communicate consistently, professionally, & tactfully
  • Confidence to interface directly with C-level client contacts other key client leadership personnel
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Interest in and ability to participate in business development efforts
  • Desire to grow within the role and advance within the firm


Salary: USD200,000 Per Year
