Job Description

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES – 

Responsible to: Managing Director / Board / Line Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE

  • To help support the delivery of agreed client service levels and work with the directors to support the company’s business goals. 
  • To assume responsibility for the management of our client’s client accounting function to ensure our continuing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide effective client accounting and administrative support to Fiduciary team and the board of directors

• Understanding of the different requirements of trust, company and partnership clients

• Working with Fiduciary team in preparation of financial statements for client entities applying appropriate accounting standards

• Liaise with clients, their advisors and the trust/company administrators, as required

• To become the first port of call for management and staff re client accounting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation and submission of IOM & UK tax returns for client entities.

• Preparation and submission of VAT returns

• Management of client bookkeeping records

• Management of HTCL client monies accounting function

• To provide project support and assistance where required

• Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, competencies and skills to support the development of the business

• Performing such additional duties from time to time as requested

REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE

• IOM Anti-Money Laundering & CFT Handbook

• Anti-Bribery & Corruption Legislation

• Regulatory codes, best practice and guidance notes relating to relevant company trust and company activities

• Our client’s risk policies and procedures

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Qualified or near qualified accountant

• TCSP experience preferred but not essential

• A basic knowledge of our client’s products & services

• A sound understanding of our client’s procedures and processes

• Team skills with strong numerical, oral and written skills

• Flexible and supportive of change, progress and self-development

• Self-organisation and appropriate time management skills

REMUNERATION

Salary: £38,000 to 42,000 Per Year
