Reports to Senior Client Relationship Manager
The successful candidate will join the Jersey management team to deliver and develop our real estate administration services, in a manner that is aligned to the client brand values and strategic business goals.
The opportunity is a new role, within an existing client team, providing a full suite of administration, accounting and governance services to one of Europe’s leading real estate managers. The individual will play a pivotal role in the management of the team, client relationship and delivery of the services.
Key responsibilities:
- Actively involved in the relationship management and service delivery for real estate and infrastructure clients
- Mentoring and leading a small team of administrators who will report directly to you
- Manage the on-going training and development requirements of team members
- Actively manage the development and appraisal process for all direct reports
- Develop a strong working relationship with the other client team members who are actively involved in the client relationships
- Liaise with the financial reporting team to ensure the timely and efficient administration of clients’ ad hoc, periodic and statutory financial statements
- Co-ordinate legal, tax and other professional advice
- Co-ordinate, attend and lead committee, board and shareholder meetings as required
- Act as authority on day to day queries and as “B” level signatory on administration matters, ensuring that company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and that a professional quality service is provided to clients and outside contacts
- Active involvement in the WIP, billing and cash collection for a portfolio of approximately £1m per annum
- To review WIP incurred and utilisation across clients to ensure that extra billing opportunities are identified and appropriate action taken
- Participate in the establishment and integration of new client structures
- Participate in client fee negotiations
- Attend and participate in wider team management meetings within the office
- Contribute towards the wider client business and culture
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
- Considerable practical fund administration and / or company secretarial experience
- Experience and track record of day to day management and supervision of a team
- Relevant professional qualification (ICSA, ACCA or equivalent) would be expected but is not mandatory if the candidate can demonstrate sufficient relevant practical experience
- Previous experience of working with real estate structures would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite
- Computer literacy, word processing and spread sheet skills are essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts
