Finance Role Profile
OVERVIEW
To assist the Head of Finance with any reasonable bookkeeping tasks along with reporting as required across the group of companies.
* Inputting source information into accountancy software (Xero or SAGE) from various systems (bank, Just Accounts, BOFF)
* Inputting source documents into accountancy software (Xero or SAGE) – such as invoices, receipts and expenses
* Matching off bank transactions to relevant transactions (payroll)
* Assistance with monthly reconciliations across the group companies, including locating anomalies and resolving.
* Assist in the monthly financial reporting for group companies
* Ad-hoc tasks as required by Financial Controller (under instruction and guidance)
* Liaise with other departments as required so communication skills important.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Excellent excel skills, to use in reconciliations and reporting.
* XERO and SAGE skills
* Attention to detail – accuracy is key
* Problem solving ability
* Ability to follow exacting instructions
GOAL FOR ROLE
This position can grow to suit the finance structure we need going forward. With group company numbers growing the finance team will have to grow. The overall finance team position will have a number of staff who eventually look after their own companies with deadlines and targets implemented so each finance team member is aware of the duties they need to perform and within what timeframes. This will form part of their personal development plans and for appraisals.
