A permanent position has arisen for a Financial Crime Prevention Specialist working within the
Group Risk, Legal and Compliance team. The role, which reports to the Chief Compliance Officer,
will provide support and advice on the identification and management of financial crime and
jurisdictional risks across the company. The role would suit individuals who have a genuine interest
in protecting the business from all aspects of financial crime and supporting the continuous
improvement of our control environment.
The main responsibilities for the role holder will include:
● Maintaining appropriate AML/CFT risk-based monitoring processes
● Investigating internally referred suspicious activity reports
● Formulating the submission of reports to law enforcement agencies
● Ensuring effective AML/CFT and fraud training is provided to staff
● Formulating our response to production, restraint or confiscation orders issued by the Isle of
Man Courts
● Collaborating with first line to develop internal procedures in line with AML/CFT legislation and
industry guidance
● Support the Group’s response to any relevant sanctions, prohibitions or advisor notices
To ensure that this role is carried out to the desired level, the successful candidate should have the
following skills:
● Relevant AML industry qualification required e.g. Advanced Certificate in AML or the willingness
to work towards and achieve within the first 18 months in the role
● Sound knowledge of financial crime legislation and the duties and responsibilities of a DMRLO in
the Isle of Man and wherever branch operations exist.
