About the Role
This is a varied and challenging role where you will support with generalist
HR, including employee relations, recruitment, engagement, performance
management and data recording, and will also have the opportunity to get
involved in a wide range of project initiatives. You will have the opportunity
to:
● Liaise with Directors and line managers on the identification and
resolution of HR issues;
● Be the first point of contact for people issues for managers and
employees;
● Respond to queries on benefits and payroll;
● Assist with all HR operational activities relating to the office;
● Liaise with the Senior HR team for support and advice on specialist
disciplines;
● Assist in the day-to-day administration of a busy HR function;
● Maintaining HR records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment
records and onboarding guides) and updating the internal database;
● Assist with the processing of payroll;
● Provide end-to-end recruitment support to recruiting managers as
part of the selection process;
● Attend and contribute to recruitment interviews when requested;
● Ensure the accurate and timely production and circulation of job
adverts on the website and government job portal;
● Attend meetings as requested in connection with absence or
performance management, welfare, disciplinary etc.;
● Coordinate activities for new starters to include welcome, induction,
introductions etc.;
● Assist in the monitoring and application on the absence management
programme; and
● Support employee engagement initiatives, and actively engage in
activities to promote positive wellbeing and culture.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic individual with experience working in a similar
business or role. The following attributes would also be advantageous:
● Good working knowledge of the IOM employment laws and HR best
practice;
● Strong attention to detail;
● The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines;
● Be a strong team player and work collaboratively with the global HR
team and wider business;
● Excellent communication skills to work with colleagues at all levels
across the business; and
● Good relationship management and the ability to build strong
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
