Our client is a financial and fiduciary services business registered and regulated in Guernsey. They comprise a group of companies providing fiduciary services to trusts, companies, private individuals, and funds. Our client was established in Guernsey on 16 May 1997.
The Role
This is an opportunity to become part of a successful Investment administration team providing discretionary portfolios to a global array of private clients, companies and intermediaries. It will require a disciplined individual to join the team, who has worked in a fast-moving professional environment and possesses a broad spectrum of skills, particularly in reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
The role is involved in all aspects of investment administration but not limited to:
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Reconciling broker accounts
• Running daily reports
• Checking trade orders pre-authorisation
• Placing trades
• Processing contract notes
• Trade payments
• Bookkeeping corporate actions
• Setting up/amending stocks
• Updating security prices
• Maintaining Investment Risk Rating Reviews
• Maintaining various internal spreadsheets
• Adding and removal of securities on our price feed
• Completing AML documentation for Fund managers
• Processing dividend reinvestments
• Dividend payments
• Monthly market comparison report
• Managing and dealing with post
• Monitoring and dealing with a central Investment email box
Skills, Competencies & Experience
• 3 years’ experience in a finance administration role with reconciliations experience
• Highly numerate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with high attention to detail
• Able to work both individually and as part of a team
• Spreadsheet knowledge (Excel), including writing formulas
• Financial instruments – equities, bonds & funds
• Offshore Investment Environment – offshore funds and tax issues
• Understanding of securities and bank settlement processes
• Strong PC literacy
• Microsoft Office – Word / Excel (ability to program using formulas) / Outlook / PowerPoint
• Bloomberg – full understanding of function
Terms & Conditions:
Salary: TBA.
Hours: 08:30 to 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch
Holiday: 25 days per annum, increasing to 26 days after three years, 28 days after five years and 30 days after ten years’ service.
Pension: 8.5%
