Job Description

The Line Technical Consultant is a specialist role that provides technical expertise and support to clients or internal stakeholders regarding specific product lines or technologies. This role involves understanding customer requirements, designing technical solutions, providing implementation guidance, and offering ongoing support and consultation. The Line Technical Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring successful deployments, optimizing product usage, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.


  • Technical Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical consultation to clients or internal stakeholders regarding specific product lines or technologies. Understand customer requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with clients, sales teams, and project managers to design technical solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives. Prepare detailed technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Implementation Support: Assist in the implementation of technical solutions, including product installations, configurations, and integrations. Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to ensure smooth deployment and optimal performance.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate clients or internal teams on product features, functionalities, and best practices. Share technical knowledge and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and usage of the product.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support and troubleshooting expertise to address complex customer issues or inquiries related to the specific product line. Collaborate with support teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical problems.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business requirements, and serving as a trusted technical advisor. Foster client satisfaction and loyalty by delivering high-quality technical solutions and support.
  • Product Enhancements and Feedback: Gather customer feedback and insights regarding the specific product line, and collaborate with product development teams to drive product enhancements, bug fixes, and new feature requests based on customer needs.
  • Industry and Technology Trends: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to the specific product line. Provide insights and recommendations on how clients can leverage these trends to improve their technical solutions.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment on customer requirements, project timelines, and technical deliverables. Contribute to project planning and execution.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of technical solutions, configurations, and client interactions. Generate reports and update knowledge bases to capture lessons learned, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications or specialized training in the specific product line or technology are beneficial.
  • Proven experience as a technical consultant, solution architect, or similar role, with a focus on the specific product line or technology.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in the specific product line or technology, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and integration aspects.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, IT infrastructure, and systems integration concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assess and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools, programming languages, or development frameworks associated with the specific product line or technology.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and changing environment.

Salary: £47,846 to 50,000 Per Year
