Job Description
Purpose of the Job
To assist the Manager in the smooth running of the department and to ensure valuations are issued accurately and delivered within the
agreed service level agreements.
Main Responsibilities
• Liaise with investors and credit providers of managed funds
• Assist in the compilation of manager reports
• Enquiry of underlying managers and analysis of portfolio positions
• Preparation of cash flow and other financial modelling
• Preparation of Net Asset Value calculations, including reconciliations, within deadlines
• Liaise directly with fund sponsors/investment managers
• Liaise with auditors, brokers, custodians and banks
• Preparing reports to management as and when required
• Preparation of UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and seeking to optimise efficiency with the use of systems and time spent
by staff
• Develop client relationships (internal and external)
• Deliver exceptional services within agreed service levels and budgets
• Monitor and reduce clients exposure to risk
• Completes all internal compliance documentation and other record keeping systems as may be required within the delegation
of authority
• Any other such activities as may be reasonably required by the role
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Professional qualification or other related university or working towards e.g. ACCA, ACA or similar
• A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience
• Experience of management, transaction services or financial instrument valuation practices
• Have the ability to prepare fund IFRS/UK/US GAAP financial statements to audit standard
• Having knowledge of fund accounting and financial instrument valuation practices would be highly beneficial
• Strong report writing and analytical skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
