Job Description

We have a number of opportunities for both graduates and school leavers for our trainee accountant roles.

A career as a trainee accountant with our client they will give you the opportunity to join a successful and fast growing company based in the Isle of Man. With assets of £20bn and around 570 staff employed worldwide, our client is one of the largest employers in the Isle of Man and represents a great opportunity for candidates looking to pursue a career in financial services.

Candidates can expect to:

• Join a Finance team of around 60 people

• Be part of one of our financial reporting or financial systems teams

• Expand their experience through rotations between the various teams over the course of their training period

Candidates will study the ACCA accounting qualification. We provide a comprehensive study package, which includes access to external training material and study leave. It will take approximately 3-4 years to obtain your qualification if exams are passed at the first attempt.

Salary increments will be awarded as you progress through the examinations and take on more responsibility.

If you are a graduate, your minimum academic requirements will be:

• GCSE grade B for Mathematics and English

• 120 UCAS points excluding General Studies

• Hold or be on track for at least a 2.2 in your degree

For a school leaver, your minimum academic requirements will be:

• GCSE grade B for Mathematics and English

• Predicted 120 UCAS points excluding General Studies

Candidates will be required to demonstrate:

• Familiarity with the ACCA qualification

• Good numerical skills and the ability to analyse data

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with Excel and Word (or similar packages)
